Acquisitions Update

Some recent arrivals...specifically this package that arrived today was the second shipment of a large pre-order I placed with CoolStuffInc.com.  This particular arrival included:

  • Descent: Journey's in the Dark 2nd Edition Crusade of the Forgotten
  • Kragmortha
  • Clash of Cultures: Civilizations
  • Munchkin Panic
  • Pressure Cooker
  • Lords of Xidit
  • Subdivision
  • Hyperborea
  • Castles of Mad King Ludwig
  • Pathfinder Adventure Card Game: Skull & Shackles Character Add-On Deck (w/ 'Goblin Weidling' Promo)
  • Pathfinder Adventure Card Game Class Decks (Bard, Cleric, Sorcerer, Wizard, Fighter, Ranger, and Rogue)

This is a few recent purchases.  Legend of the Five Rings: Heart of Darkness on the far left was picked up from my FLGS.  The game laying across the top right is a copy of Dragon Quest Dungeon R that I picked up in an order from Noble Knight Games.   I documented the rest of the games that I picked up from Noble Knight in the video below.  The video below that is my unboxing of Dragon Quest Dungeon R.  The rest of the games lined up across the display counter were purchased from Canadian online game retailer Board Game Bliss.

A recent arrival from Dwarven Forge (I'm still waiting on the rewards from their 'Caverns' Kickstarter project).  Here I have three of the Woodlands sets, four Woodlands accessories sets, and one Ancient Treasures accessory set.  I used every single piece in the display below (apart from some of the larger pieces in the Ancient Treasures accessory set).

I also recently received the currently 'in-stock' portion of my rewards from the Miniature Building Authority's recent Castle Kickstarter project.  I won't receive the remainder of my rewards for quite some time.  This, in total, is only a fraction of what I'll eventually be receiving.

The above picture is the accumulation of a few recent arrivals.  'Tower of the Wizard' (the large blue box on the bottom right) was a find at a local antique store.  I picked up a bunch of Dungeons & Dragons: Attack Wing stuff from my FLGS (the starter is pictured sitting above a shoe box which currently holds at least one of every currently available expansion).  King's Bounty was part of the Noble Knight Games purchase.  Tiny Epic Kingdoms was a Kickstarted board game reward.  Above that Khrysos Hunters and its expansion were ordered directly from the publisher's website.  Above that are Start Player, Start Player Express, and Tie Breaker, all rewards from the Start Player Express Kickstarter.  The rest of the games are from the first shipment of a large CoolStuffInc.com pre-order (the same preorder of which I received the second shipment that I have detailed at the top of this post).

I've also received the remainder of my OGRE: Designer's Edition sponsored counter sheets, Lagoon: Land of Druids (another KS project), Psycho Raiders (a 'magazine game' based on slasher movies like Texas Chainsaw Massacre or Halloween), a couple new figure cases for Krosmaster: Arena figures, some promos and misc. from the Board Game Geek store, and I'm sure even more games that I am forgetting.  I'm still waiting on a bunch of Kickstarter projects to deliver their rewards and a few other board games that I have pre-ordered (another several games from CSI which will probably all come together in the third and final shipment and a couple other games I ordered directly from the publishers such as The Mushroom Eaters and Dragonscroll).

As far as LEGO-related purchases...I've purchased and received a ton of new sets.  I can't even begin to list them all.  One cool new find (pictured above) is a new line of construction sets from Ionix called 'Tenkai Knights'.  I don't cheat on LEGO often, but these "transforming bricks" are actually very interesting and the most important thing is that they feel good.  For example, I also own a lot of Mega Bloks from back when they released sets in their 'Dragons' range.  Those sets were, at times, hard to assemble due to pieces that simply refused to fit together (or even stay together).

Sorry for the super long post this time, but I had a LOT of catching up to do, and I'm sure I'm forgetting a ton of stuff.  Thanks for reading!
